Explorations in Kirkham Hot Springs

When it doesn't snow what do you do? You go hot spring soaking of course! Nestled between mountain peaks Kirkham Hot Springs is a perfect place to go. It is only an 1.5 hour drive out of Boise and easy to find; i.e. hard to get lost. Just look for the sign that says Kirkham Campground and pull off. There are multiple pools to soak in and if you get to hot, a jump in the river will cool you right off. The water comes out of the rocks, cascading down, making a waterfall of hot water. It is a beautiful place to soak away the week. Be aware that you might sit there for a couple hours before you realize how long you were soaking. None of us minded the least bit, it felt wonderful!
